(Des Moines) This November, Dennis VanDerGinst was elected to serve on the Board of Governors for the Iowa Association for Justice. The IAJ works to strengthen the civil justice system in Iowa. Additionally, in the community, IAJ focuses on giving back through Justice in Deed. This connects Iowa trial attorneys with community organizations. Their Safe Cycling Project “promotes bicycle helmet use for kids.” Lastly, through Byard Baley Scholarship they grant scholarships to injured workers and/or their families.
Within government, the IAJ has much the same mission as VanDerGinst Law–to protect those most vulnerable in our communities like children, injured Iowans, disabled people, and also other consumers. Members include attorneys who focus on personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability law.
Dennis served in a similar capacity for several years on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Board of Managers. Dennis may be the first attorney to serve on both Boards. We congratulate Dennis on this occasion. Please contact VanDerGinst Law with any questions or concerns.
