With a career rooted in law enforcement, Jim Stark’s dedication to making a positive impact on people’s lives is evident in every aspect of his work. A graduate of Scott Community College and the University of Northern Iowa, Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. His journey into law enforcement began with a clear vision of serving his community, a passion he has carried throughout his career. From his early days as a Patrol Officer to his leadership roles as a Patrol Supervisor and Narcotics Unit Supervisor, Jim has continually demonstrated his commitment to ensuring safety and security in the community. Throughout his career, Jim has been involved in numerous impactful assignments, including serving as a Detective, an agent in the Narcotics Unit, and a Street Gang Investigator with the FBI. Notably, he spent 29 years on the EST (SWAT) Team, contributing to critical operations and responding to high-stakes situations. What Jim values most about his career is the opportunity to help clients who have experienced trauma. His empathetic nature, coupled with his exceptional listening skills, allows him to connect with individuals and provide them with support during difficult times.
