In April 2020, Dennis VanDerGinst, of VanDerGinst Law, created an initiative to not only help people who were displaced from their jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but to help those who were still on the frontlines as essential workers.
Mr. VanDerGinst financed and gathered materials to make face masks, called “Moo Masks,” for local businesses and essential workers.
The materials were collected and placed into a kit that was sent out to applicants who had unexpectedly become unemployed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Individuals were selected based on their level of need, and VanDerGinst Law provided the kits as well as payment of $1 per mask made, with a total of up to 500 masks per applicant.
VanDerGinst Law is happy to announce that we have been able to donate over 6,000 masks to area hospitals and businesses through the amazing work of over 30 local applicants who lost income from employers closing due to COVID-19.
The initiative was also featured on Local 4 News, which you can see more of below.
