The simple gift of a new toy can make a tremendous difference to a child during the holidays. The U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program believes that “every child deserves a little Christmas” and VanDerGinst Law believes that too. That is why we are once again partnering with the Quad Cities Toys for Tots Program to help provide Christmas gifts to less fortunate children. Not only are we a drop-off location for donations but we also donated bike helmets as part of our Hard Headed Kids Program.

The Mission

“The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Quad Cities Toys for Tots Program is to collect and distribute new unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to those children less fortunate in our local community.”

The grateful smiles on the faces of the kids and the appreciation from the parents are all we need to continue to help with this important mission. As a charitable organization, Toys for Tots makes a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate in our community so let’s help make this holiday season successful!

An important note on donated items, the toughest age groups are boys and girls aged 10-12 years old. Historically, Toys for Tots receives low donations for those age groups.

About Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots started in 1947 by Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks at the behest of his wife, Diane, who wanted to donate a few handcrafted dolls.

“Over 97% of your donation goes directly to our mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children. The 3% spent on support principally covers fundraising expenses — not one donated dollar goes to salaries or any other manpower costs.” – Toys for Tots
