Dennis VanDerGinst and his fiancee’ Kimberly Kurtenbach were honored to host Cinco de Gilda’s for Gilda’s Club Quad Cities on May 5th, 2022. Dennis is a board member, and the event was a celebration by board members and staff to show their appreciation to some of the donors who have helped make Gilda’s Club Quad Cities a great organization and a sneak peak at the bright future ahead.
Gilda’s Club was named in honor of Gilda Radner, a well known comedian, remembered by many for her role on SNL. She died from Ovarian Cancer in 1989. There are 175 Gilda’s Club locations across the world. They offer support groups, workshops, social events and healthy lifestyle activities for individuals and their families as they deal with all the challenges of having cancer – from testing resources, to diagnosis, to treatment, and through recovery.
