Don Passmore, in conjunction with the Children’s Therapy Center, is hosting the 4th Annual iCan Shine Bike Camp event this week in East Moline, and VanDerGinst Law is proud to be able to donate helmets for the registered participants.
The camp, which is organized by Passmore in this area, gives children with disabilities a chance to independently ride a two-wheel bicycle.
Through a week-long course, students learn how to balance and steer with the help of instructional equipment and a team of dedicated volunteers.
By the end of the week, they have made vast improvements in their ability to ride a bike all by themselves.
As always, helmet use is a must, regardless of whether one is an expert rider or a beginner. “Making sure the kids stay safe while taking part in this great event is our goal,” says CEO Dennis VanDerGinst.
The camp runs from June 11-15 in East Moline.
